Symptoms of Gout

There are but a few symptoms of gout, which may include one or some or all of it in one single attack episode alone. But in any case, at its onset, severe pain and tenderness will always be felt on the affected joint. As there is yet no solid cure for gout, it would rather be more advantageous to trace the root cause of the condition to readily address its symptoms be productive to identify the actual cause of the condition.

Some evident signs to look for are any of the following: redness, warmth and swelling.  The most commonly affected joint, of all the joints in the body is the big toe, since it is where circulation is slowest, that make it the least warmer part of the bodily extremities. The other joints, such as the knees, elbows, and fingers will be affected as well within time if no positive course of treatment is undertaken. Gout attacks generally happen during night time, when the temperature is a lot cooler.
